Located near Bath just a short drive down the M4 from London, The Hesdin Estate is a collection of luxurious and beautiful holiday homes built with wonderful celebrations in mind. Whether it’s a family break, a weekend with friends, pre-wedding getaway or just a break with your loved ones – there is a house to suit. With exclusive homes of all sizes, the Estate can host groups of two, up to 30, with the most stylish of accommodation, all designed to ensure your stay is a truly memorable one.
Jim and Laurie took on Hesdin just before the first lockdown in spring 2020, and set to work bringing this historic estate back to life, from a derelict manor house and outbuildings to the ultimate stylish getaway retreat. Laurie has taken the lead with the interiors and is keen to ensure the houses are exciting, but also welcoming - a home from home, with all that you need for a great escape.
The Hesdin Estate is ideal for all ages, with alpacas, pigs and goats to keep the little ones entertained, gaming rooms for teens, expansive and wonderfully kitted out kitchens and dining rooms, epic private swimming pools, hot tubs and saunas – not to mention the best kids dorm room for sleepovers and midnight feasts!
The Hesdin team can arrange private chefs, spa treatments, housekeepers and more throughout your visit, meaning guests can really make the most of their break in Wiltshire. Nearby Bruton and Frome, just across the county line in Somerset are ideal for days out, but with so much to do on your doorstep at Hesdin, many choose to just kick back and relax.

HESDIN HALL
The main house on the estate and the first home that was completed by Laurie and Jim – Hesdin Hall is a beautiful Georgian farmhouse which sleeps 18 people, in 8 en-suite bedrooms, set across 3 floors. As well as a gaming suite and two games rooms, hot tub and sauna, there is also a heated pool in the garden, and a walled garden to explore. ‘The Weird Room’ is a hideaway for adults, ideal for an after-dinner cocktail, and just across the garden fence guests can take in the views across the estate.
THE CORN CRIB
The Corn Crib is home to a simply iconic swimming pool – with its chequered floor and immense windows, it is fun for all the family. The Corn Crib also has a hot tub and sauna, a barbecue kitchen, roof terrace bar, games areas and disco balls a-plenty. Quirky and fun interiors include statement chandeliers, pink pool table and lots of upbeat décor. Sleeping 20 in 10 en suite rooms, The Corn Crib oozes personality and fun – a perfect house for a really fun weekend of mischief!
PIGERTONS
At the heart of Pigertons is a large, open plan living/entertaining room so everyone can enjoy each other’s company. Through the windows you can see the stainless-steel, heated swimming pool with bubble jets – the perfect place to relax whilst watching a movie on the outside cinema screen. For gamers there is a games room with a pool table, table football, air hockey and a TV wall with no less than seven televisions, and 16 Xbox controllers. Outside in the walled garden, guests can enjoy the barbecue, pizza oven and fire-pit, and a beautiful roof terrace, ideal for sundowners.
HEYHO
Bookings are now open for the newest house on The Hesdin Estate; Hayho House. Opening in August 2023, this 6-bedroom super home is sure to excite and delight family and friends. Sleeping up to 12 guests, this upside down home has been carefully designed for celebrations. With open plan living overlooking Clay Hill, underground swimming pool, games room and more to come…
