September 2025, Penzance : The Penzance BID are delighted to share the launch of the Tapas Trail ( or Tro Gwithys Kernewek - which translates from Cornish as ‘Cornish Taste Trail) a five-day celebration of food and drink showcasing some of the town’s best-loved restaurants and producers. From 17th to 21st September, locals and visitors alike are invited to explore Penzance in a new way - through bite-sized dishes, each priced at £5 or less.
The Tapas Trail brings together a diverse collection of independent restaurants, cafés, bars and shops, each offering their own unique “tapas” creation. Participants can pick up a Tapas Trail card and embark on a flavour-filled journey through the town, sampling everything from traditional Cornish favourites to inventive global small plates.

Alverne, The Cornish Hen, The Front Room, Pocket Full of Stones, Chapel House,
Jubilee Pool, Whits and Bay, Redwing Gallery, Flatties, Zennor Wild, Loafs,
Fraser’s Fish & Chips, Thai Moon, Pirates Rest, Archie Browns, Lavenders, Hellys
Bistro, RideOn, and Boatshed.
With
dishes served in miniature, visitors can enjoy a variety of flavours while
discovering hidden gems across the town. The Tapas Trail is a Penzance’s
creative spirit and culinary talent and coincides with the second Penzance
Food Festival
in Penlee Park, from 19-21st September.
