The Samling has been included in Elite Traveler’s exclusive collection of the World’s Finest Suites for 2023, with Gold awards for luxury and transport.

Elite Traveler’s analysis of sustainability, fine dining, and service are combined with data on transport links, staff and a plethora of fine details to ensure only suites of the very highest quality are considered for this list.
The Samling’s ‘Windermere Suite’ was carefully analysed by Elite Traveler and was not only awarded place amongst the World’s finest, but also awarded Gold for luxury and transport. The Windermere is one of three luxurious suites at the hotel, perched at the top of the estate, overlooking the mirrored water of its namesake. The suite is located in an old cottage and is spread over two floors with its own private patio overlooking gardens leading down to the banks of the Lake. A natural slate wall harmonises with the soft green blues of the furnishings and the statement copper-clad freestanding bath takes centre stage in the large, well-lit marbled bathroom.
